Shame on me…

November 29th, 2011

Today I saw it’d been 5 weeks since I last posted an update. 5 weeks! That is completely inexcusable for someone who works 7 days a week. (That someone being me) — Attached are a bunch of photos of new jewelry for the shop, hot out of the kiln! These necklaces are all made of white bronze, which is an affordable, beautiful alternative to the rising costs of silver, just in the nick of time for holiday shopping and what not.

Speaking of holiday shopping, a sincere thank you for those of you choosing to buy from artists and independent businesses like mine this holiday! Your purchases are especially meaningful right now, as we’re handling vet bills for my loving cat and studio mascot Peechee who recently experienced heart failure. (He is sitting next to me snuggling as I write this!)

Without further ado, photos below. And one of Peechee, too. Thank you! Stay tuned for holiday order cut-off days which I’ll post as soon as I can take a look at a calendar and figure out what day it is. For those outside the US, as always, order sooner rather than later to allow enough time for your package to climb its way across the world. I’ll post specific dates shortly! Thanks again.

A few events coming up…

October 19th, 2011

Got a busy holiday season coming up! Some regional news first and foremost:

I’ll have original paintings, t-shirts, notepads, and lots more at Grumpy Bert’s pop-up shop at the DeKalb Market in Brooklyn, NY — Call 347.855.4849 for hours & info — show runs through December 24th.

Then, November 13th, come see me here in my hometown of San Diego, CA at the Local Color Craft Fair — 11am-3pm at Glashaus.

I also have original paintings in a few upcoming shows:

  • Dec 2nd at Junc Gallery and Boutique in San Diego, CA as part of a holiday art show
  • Dec 10th at GR2 in Los Angeles, CA as part of Mark Todd and Esther Pearl Watson’s Post-It show!
  • Ongoing…at The Enormous Tiny Art Show online & at Nahcotta in Portsmouth, NH
  • Below, see a few shots of my recent work. More updates soon, including solo shows in Portland OR and Los Angeles for 2012! Stay tuned – and, as always, thanks for keeping in touch with me and my work.

    robots and holidays

    September 19th, 2011

I have a painting in this weekend’s Giant Robot benefit art show at GR2 in West LA! It’s a robot themed show with tons of artists & many friends such as kozyndan, APAK, Barry McGee, Souther Salazar, Deth P. Sun, Evah Fan, Saelee Oh, Seonna Hong, Esther Pearl Watson, Mark Todd & tons more. Everyone’s made robot-themed work for the struggling gallery. Show opens this Saturday, September 24th. Here’s my robot painting for it!

Meanwhile, 2012 Clockwork Agendas sold out on the day of their release! Yes, TOTALLY SOLD OUT. Out of print! Gone! So, get one wherever you can find one!

In other news, my portfolio has been freshly updated, the shop is stocked with new holiday greeting cards and magnet sets including this, this, this, this, this, and this! Snowy bike rides and squirrels on skis, woo!

I don’t know, guys, i’m a natural born procrastinator when it comes to holiday shopping, but I got lots of emails last month saying people were doing holiday shopping – in August! So i guess now’s as good a time as any to share!
