Thanks to everyone who came out for Renegade Craft Fair in Chicago – it was exhausting and awesome and great to be back in Chicago.

i’ve just updated the shop with a few new green products: introducing 100% recycled notepads and cards. The chickadee cards were printed in soy ink on recycled paper and we have a new polka dot bird memo pad, 25 pages, 100% recycled as well. check it out!

i’m preparing for my upcoming solo show in San Francisco, November 10th at GR-SF, reception 6:30-10pm. I’ll be in attendance! I’ll also be showing my Kokeshi doll at Subtext‘s group show here in San Diego on November 3rd, curated by Chris Conway. I’ll be in Los Angeles on November 18th for FELT CLUB‘s holiday event.

this weekend, september 15 + 16, i’m making the trek from san diego to my former hometown of Chicago for renegade craft fair, sharing booth #16 with my good friend tess. please come by and say hi if you’re in the area! the show runs both days from 11am – 10pm. guaranteed to have a more alert susie on hand if you’re there closer to the am than the pm.

my solo show “Teacher’s Pets” at GRNY comes down this wednesday on September 12th – if you haven’t yet seen it, now’s your last chance!

but then, this weekend i have a couple new pieces at nahcotta in portsmouth, NH as part of their “enormous tiny art show” series!

a couple new things in the shop include animal die cut postcards and miniature cards! please note that i’ll be unable to ship orders while in chicago, but will be back in full swing upon my return next week.

and last, but certainly not least, i’ve been nominated as a best DIY business for Venus magazine’s 2007 hot list. please vote for me! i’m so honored to be included, and to be alongside so many DIY luminaries and wonderful people. thanks for the nomination!
