Artist Susie Ghahremani will return to Giant Robot for a solo exhibition of the original paintings from her picture book What Will Grow? and other recent artwork. In advance of this art show and book launch party, What Will Grow? has received three starred reviews from the School Library Journal, Publisher’s Weekly, and Shelf Awareness.

Giant Robot will offer What Will Grow? for sale within the gallery.
Meet the artist: Susie will be signing copies of her books at her opening this Saturday from 6:30 to 10pm.
The opening will also feature the launch of a new Boygirlparty pin, available in limited supply.

From Susie Ghahremani: “For this show and recent works, my paintings are focused on the combination of plant life and fauna united by patterns and soft, earthy color palettes. Much of my work is inspired by our National Parks and themes of conservation.”

Susie Ghahremani is a graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design and a member of SCBWI (the Society for Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators). Susie independently designs and develops a whimsically illustrated stationery and gift brand titled BoygirlpartyĀ®, ranked among one of Etsy.com’s most popular shops. Originally from Chicago, Susie now lives in San Diego, California with her husband and zillions of pets.
